Progressive lenses/No-line bifocal: Progressive addition lenses are more than just bifocals without a line. They provide most people with excellent vision at all distances. Althouth they are not right for everybody, most people much prefer these over traditional lined boficals or trifocals. LINK: http://www.essilorusa.com/Our+Products

Transitions: Transitions lenses change to sunglasses outside, and back to clear lenses when inside. They are particularly useful for people that spend a lot of time outdoors, but may not satisfy people that do a lot of driving. This is because they are activated by UV light, and our car windshields filter out UV for our protection. LINK: www.transitions.com

Polarized: Polarization is a special technique used in some sunglasses to help with cutting down glare. Most people will notice quite an improvement in quality of vision with polarized sunglasses, versus regular dark lenses.

Bifocal: Bifocal lenses have a portion of the lens dedicated to distance vision, and part to near vision. Most people begin to need bifocal glasses somewhere around age 40. Historically bifocals had a line in them, but most are now made as no-line bifocals, or progressive lenses.

Anti-reflective coating: AR coating serves several purposes for your glasses. Most importantly, it cuts down on glare, especially with night driving and computer use. AR coating also helps to prevent others from seeing reflections coming off of your glasses and helps the lenses look thinner.

Crizal: Crizal is a “family” of AR coatings, and is recognized as a top quality and innovative brand of AR coating. LINK: www.crizal.com
